Fuel policy, signature, keys. That short list is where a rental either goes smoothly or turns into a misunderstanding, and it is exactly what this part of the conversation prepares you for. By the end you can settle the last details with the agent and leave the counter knowing what you agreed to.

Here the dialog moves through the closing stage of the rental: confirming how the tank should come back, finding out where to sign, handing over a card and a license, and collecting everything you need before you go. Handy lines include ¿Debo devolver el auto con el tanque lleno? for the fuel question, ¿Dónde firmo el contrato? when the paperwork appears, and ¿Me puede dar las llaves, por favor?, a polite request you can reuse for almost anything. Signing forms, asking someone to hand you something and thanking them properly are everyday moves in a pharmacy, a bank or a hotel lobby too. The part closes on the warm Latin American farewell ¡Que le vaya bien!, which you will start hearing everywhere once you know it.
