Data Problems (part 2 of 2) 🔒

Buying the card is only half the job. The moment it refuses to connect, you need a completely different set of words: describing the problem, handing your phone across the counter, and keeping up while somebody sorts it out. That is exactly what this part of the conversation trains you to do in Spanish.

Here you pick up the language of small technical trouble and its solution: reporting that las páginas no cargan, mentioning what you already tried, hearing that los datos móviles were switched off, and checking with ¿Ya puedo navegar entonces? before the setup is finished. These phrases reach far beyond a phone shop. They serve you when hotel wifi refuses to cooperate, when a card reader will not accept your payment, or when any small device needs looking at. You will also practice the warm closing lines that round off a friendly exchange with someone who has just helped you.
