A delay turns a quiet wait into a conversation nobody planned for. In this part you take your question straight to the gate desk and get the answers in Italian: how long the flight is held up, when boarding begins, and what you are allowed to carry on with you. It is the moment when understanding the reply matters more than saying something perfectly.

The vocabulary here covers times, delays, and the last checks before you get on the plane, plus the small courtesies that end a conversation well. You will work with questions like A che ora comincia l'imbarco?, report what you saw with ho visto un ritardo sul tabellone, and hear a seat number and a friendly Buon viaggio at the end. Numbers and clock times are the heart of this exchange, which makes it useful well past the airport: the same structures tell you when a train leaves, when a museum opens, or when a table is free.
