Sight Words Sentence Builder Games
Great news! We have added another brand new Sight Words game. It is fun, easy to use and suitable for both kids and adults learning how to read. The new game is called "Sentence Builder" and that's exactly what it does: it allows students to construct sentences.
Using the new game, students can assemble complete sentences from separate words provided to them. Each word must be moved to a proper position within a sentence. Once the sentence is complete, the student clicks on the "check answer" button and hears feedback that indicates whether the answer was correct.
To enhance learning, the game uses bright colors and fun sounds. In addition, each word and the complete sentence can be replayed by clicking on the "speaker" picture. This reinforces the connection between written and spoken representation of the Sight Words.
The sample sentences included in the games have been designed to include all the traditional Sight Words. The games are divided into levels based on the level of the most advanced sight word in the sentence. For example, in the sentence "They had to go" the word "they" is Primer, the word "had" is First Grade and the word "go" is Pre-Primer. Therefore, the sentence is included among the First Grade games.
